Discover What’s New in Sage 50 Cloud Accounts v30

The latest release of Sage 50 Cloud Accounts, version 30, is now available. This update brings numerous enhancements designed to streamline your accounting processes, offer greater customization options, and boost overall productivity.

Key Features of Sage 50 Cloud Accounts v30

Enhanced Bank Feeds

Building on the updates from version 29, the bank feeds interface in v30 now fully supports the creation, approval, and management of bank feed rules, providing a more integrated experience.

Transition to 64-Bit Configuration

Starting with v30, Sage 50 Accounts is now configured as a 64-bit application by default. This shift allows for better integration with other 64-bit applications, such as Microsoft Office, and improves performance by enhancing memory management. Additionally, this change facilitates smoother integration with third-party software built on 64-bit platforms.

New Report Finder Tool

For cloud-connected users, a new report finder tool is available. This tool uses AI to interpret natural language searches, helping you quickly find the most relevant reports. It also includes a “recently used reports” tab for easy access to your frequently used reports.

Enhanced Bank Defaults

In v30, Sage 50 Accounts allows for more customization of default tax codes and departments for bank payments and receipts. Previously, these defaults were tied to supplier and customer settings, but now you can specify defaults directly for bank transactions.

Google Analytics Consent

Upon first launching Sage 50 Accounts v30, users will be prompted to consent to sending usage data to Google Analytics. This data will now be sent to Google Analytics 4, as support for Universal Analytics is being phased out by June 2024. Users can adjust their consent preferences later in the privacy settings.

Updated Tax Rates for Flat Rate Compensation Codes

When setting up a new company in v30, the tax rates for flat rate compensation have been updated to reflect current rates. Existing companies will need to apply these updates manually.

Discontinued Support for Office 2013

With Microsoft no longer supporting Office 2013, Sage 50 Accounts v30 will also no longer integrate with this version of Office. If you need to upgrade your Microsoft Office software, we offer a range of IT subscription products, including Microsoft Modern Workplace, which features Microsoft 365 Business Premium. This solution fully integrates with Sage 50 Accounts v30, ensuring your data and hardware remain securely protected.
